Balloon Lift-Off

The Balloon Lift is one of the most moving meetings of the year.

Everyone receives a colored helium balloon and is invited to write a note to their child.

The notes are attached to the balloon by a string. Everyone walks to Centennial Park where a small ceremony is held. There is a reading and music is played. At the right time the balloons are released and everyone watches as they sail out of sight.

If you have never participated in a balloon lift it may surprise you how touching this experience can be.

After the balloons are out of sight everyone moves back to the HCA building for refreshments.
